The focus of 'The Wonders of this Place – CLIMATE EDUCATION' is to leverage the creative arts in all its forms so as to further climate education and awareness globally. People have different interests and talents, and there is no one size fits all when it comes to the appeal of creative arts content. It is also often the integration of the various creative art forms that enhances the overall human experience and impact. On its own a poem read out aloud can be very impactful, but with the appropriate music as accompaniment it can have an even greater impact. From an education perspective poetry enables the development of language and literacy skills, develops creative thinking, and also benefits public speaking and emotional intelligence.
Poems calling out 'Sing me...please sing me!'
The Song Garden, founded in the Republic of Ireland, is a good example of poetry that has been written for artists to be able to convert them into beautiful songs. These poems, written under the 'Sycamore Lane' name, only need a melody and a voice to enhance what is already an impactful creative art form. We aim to provide aspiring and existing voice artists with creative poetry content to fulfil the 'sing me...sing me' vision.
