"EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON WHICH YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD."
~Nelson Mandela
To deliver quality education requires a collaborative effort by many stakeholders. 'The Wonders of this Place - CLIMATE EDUCATION' is no different.
We greatly appreciate the support from all of our contributors and from all stakeholders who have supported us and continue to offer support in various ways, ultimately to the benefit of the quality and sustainability of life on Earth for all. We intend to continue to seek value from collaborating with like minded initiatives and organisations globally, and invite interested individuals or groups to collaborate with us. We intend to support like minded initiatives and organisations to positively impact our common goals and objectives.
EARTHDAY.ORG – Our founding collaborator
EARTHDAY.ORG is our founding collaboration partner, and since 1970 they have been doing incredible work worldwide with the highlight of their calendar being World Earth Day on 22 April each year. We decided to launch 'The Wonders of this Place – CLIMATE EDUCATION' on 22 April 2024 given our collaboration with EARTHDAY.ORG.
EDUCATION CONTENT COLLABORATORS
We will collaborate with initiatives that also do work in the field of the creative arts and that have sustainability / climate objectives in the same way that we have. Our current list of collaborators are:
They have a collection of beautiful poems written by Eamonn Maguire from the Republic of Ireland, many of which are potential songs, and some of which we have shared in our Climate Action Poetry Collection page.
Also based in the Republic of Ireland, during 2024 they are running a fabulous project to promote dance in support of climate action, and more of what they do can be found in our Climate Action Performing Arts Collection page.
They have beautiful artwork in the form of paintings that tell different stories all climate / nature themed. Julie Collishaw from Wales in the United Kingdom has kindly provided some examples in our Climate Action Visual Arts Collection page.
EVENT COLLABORATORS
The launch event of 'The Wonders of this Place – CLIMATE EDUCATION' was held at the Bellevue Restaurant in Delgany, Republic of Ireland on 17 April 2024. See our Event Calendar / Gallery page for more information about this milestone event. We received excellent support from several local establishments, and we thank all of those who contributed to the success of the evening. In particular we would like to thank our host the Bellevue Restaurant, which is part of the legendary Horse and Hound establishment in Delgany. Their service and fare was excellent on the night!
